McAfee Inc (NYSE:MFE), an intrusion prevention and security risk management company, has revealed that it provides protection for the security vulnerabilities recently confirmed by Microsoft Corp.

Microsoft has released six bulletins covering nine vulnerabilities, including vulnerabilities in the Remote Desktop Protocol and Print Spooler service. McAfee's Anti-virus and Vulnerability Emergency Response Team (AVERT) security research teams have reviewed the vulnerabilities and advised that users update as per McAfee and Microsoft recommendations.

McAfee said its Entercept, VirusScan Enterprise, Managed VirusScan, IntruShield, Foundstone and System Compliance Profiler offer solutions to the vulnerabilities. In addition, it claimed that it will add detection and removal to the DATs as new problems are identified.
